Something about the birth of my son in 2007 triggered a new awareness in me about the finite nature of life. I realized that I was once this size, and that some day I will be dead and gone. It sounds morose, but I really gained a new outlook on life that started on that day, holding my son in my arms.
I quickly began to think about what I would do if I could do anything. I decided that I would love to travel to different sports stadiums around the country and write about the experiences, so I started StadiumJourney.com in 2009. I moved to full time with Stadium Journey in October of 2011.
Flick Journey is meant to be a continuation of my own personal journey to find the most fulfilling vocation possible. I love movies and I love the idea of a massive movie bracket that compares movies of different eras and allows open discussion among filmophiles about which movie is better in a given match-up.
